Dimpled pitching machine balls are quite popular. They are designed with an 85-degree hardness that stands up to the test of the metal bat. Because they are made with durability in mind, dimpled balls last longer than regular leather balls.
If you prefer a leather pitching machine baseball, there are several types on the market. Most are made with a cork and rubber pill with an A-Grade wool blend winding and leather cover. Many have colorful stitching for easy identification.
There are also synthetic balls available. Designed to work in most pitching machines, the synthetic leather cover design of the balls helps make for realistic game conditions. The balls are manufactured for years of use.
Dimpled pitching machine softballs come in 11- and 12-inch sizes. They are designed to fly straighter and last longer than regular softballs, and they're easier on bats and hands.
